Groveland Twp.-A long time issue with the township cable system has received an upgrade.
Channel 10 for Comcast subscribers, which provides up-to-date township information ranging from township news to road conditions to Holly and Springfield Library events, will run new state-of-the art digital broadcast equipment.
Funds for the project, said Bob DePalma, come from the Public Education Government access channel fees on the cable subscribers’ monthly bills.
“The new system is far more dependable and there will be fewer interruptions of service,” said DePalma. “The system is now very reliable.”
New this week is the State of Groveland Township 2016, an overview of the community.
“I understand that many new residents have moved to the township and may not be aware of the great opportunities and features of the community,” said DePalma.
The message from DePalma is available on Channel 10, or residents can go to www.grovelandtownship.net and click on the YouTube icon.
The State of Groveland Township 2016 includes updates on the ORV Outdoor Adventure Park, resident communications such as No Haz Day, a dumpster for household cleanup and township/fire department facilities for rent.
