Doris Elaine MacLeod- died Monday, June 27, 2016.

She was 87.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward H. and Jessie M. (MacDonald) Webber and eight siblings. She is survived by sister Virginia Sagal of New Baltimore.

Doris was born Aug. 7, 1928 in Detroit. She married Douglas MacLeod June 27, 1946 in Detroit and he preceded her in death Feb.10, 1982.

Surviving are son Dale (the late Gail) MacLeod of Shelburne Falls, Mass.; daughter Diane (James) Pless of Goodrich; granddaughters Paula (Richard) Smiley of Goodrich, Sheila (Kenneth) Fenton of Clarkston, and Christina (Jason) Mancogna of Goodrich; grandson Patrick MacLeod of New York, NY; great-grandchildren, Tony Smiley, Justin Wheeler, Lucas Smiley, Jakob Mancogna, Hailee Mancogna and Kennedy Fenton and Cole Fenton.

“Mom was strong, very courageous, and loved her family,” said Doris’ daughter, Diane. “She was loyal and would help anyone. She was of ‘The Great Generation.’”

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. and services at 11 a.m., July 8, 2016 at the Over Tyme Grill, 4724 Dixie Highway, Waterford. Per the her request Doris’ body was donated to the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor.
