FRANTZ, KAREN SUE of Ortonville; passed away April 27, 2018. She was 80.  Born April 25, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Howard S. and Lucille E. (nee: Smith) Caldwell.  She married the love of her life, James C. Frantz on April 25, 1958 in Brown City, Michigan.  She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, James Frantz. Karen was a devoted mother to three children, Darrell (LouAnn) Frantz, Brenda (Randy) Shnowski and Dennis (Robyn) Frantz; loving grandmother to nine grandchildren, Megan (Charlie) Stadt, Matthew Frantz, Mackenzie Frantz, Rachale (Nate) LaVoie, Joel (Rasea) Shnowski, Dylan Shnowski, Kaitlyn Frantz, Nathanial Frantz and Kylie Frantz; six great grandchildren, Naomi, Rory and Vivica LaVoie, Riley, Juliet and Jade Shnowski.  Karen loved to crochet blankets and paint ceramics with her husband for her children and grandchildren.  Spending time with her family was of high importance, as she was very proud of them.  Karen had an unwavering faith in God and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.  A celebration of her life will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2018 at The River Church 9430 Perry Road, Goodrich.  Pastor Jim Combs, officiating.  Family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at VILLAGE FUNERAL HOME-ORTONVILLE 135 South St., Ortonville and after 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the church.
