The Lake Orion High School Drama Department presented “The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940” on Nov. 21-22 as their annual fall production.
The story kept members of the audience guessing as the play had old friends called to the extravagant home of Elsa Von Grossenkneuten, trying to get a musical off the ground and onto Broadway.
The only problem is, as thunder crashes and the lights went out, someone was found dead.
Secret passages, a drunk, a lovesick puppy and more had the audience asking “who are they really?”
The show parodied the more corny aspects of Hollywood 1940s mysteries.
Students will present their annual spring musical on April 1-3, 2004, performing “Cinderella.”
