The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department kicked of its annual “Coats for the Cold” collection this past Monday, Dec. 1. The charity drive will run until Dec. 15. There are over 50 drop-off sites available this year throughout Oakland County. New or clean, used coats can be donated at any of the sites. The items will then be given to several different charitable organizations, which will then distribute the warm clothing to those most in need at no cost.
Drop-off points around the Oxford area include the Oxford Twp. substation, the Addison Twp. substation and Oxford High School.
