Stabbing takes place on Sparrow Hill

A 20-year-old man was arrested on Jan. 14 as a suspect in the stabbing of his mother’s live-in boyfriend.
According to an Oakland County Sheriff’s Department report, the assault took place about 4:30 p.m.
The man’s mother told deputies she had been fighting with her 29 year old boyfriend when her son intervened. Her daughter said she saw her brother stab the boyfriend twice.
The report indicated the suspect had admitted he was involved in a fight with his mother’s boyfriend. He said he was swinging the knife at him, but didn’t know he had stabbed him.
When deputies arrived on the scene, the victim had gone to the drugstore for antiseptic and bandages for his injuries. When he returned home, he was transported to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital.
According to the report the people involved in the incident were Puerto Rican and spoke very little English.
The suspect was arrested and taken to the Oakland County Jail. The case is under investigation.
