Icy competition

Artists and spectators alike braved the cold on Jan. 31 for the Ice Paradise Winter Festival at Olde World Canterbury Village.
The festival, Jan. 31-Feb. 1, kicked off with a ‘Diamonds in Ice? party on Jan. 30. The event helped raise money for the Muscular Distrophy Association.
Ice sculpters filled the village for the festival, competiting in teams for four hours to compete a sculpture. First prize was $150, and the competition was open to all schools or club groups.
