Seven Lake Orion High School student athletes signed their letters of intent to play college sports on Feb. 4.
Fellow students and parents gathered to watch as varsity football players Will Johnson, Roger Allison, Trent Varva, Palmer Schoening, Matt Van Norman and Tommy Paulsen; and soccer player Billy Weaver signed their letters.
Signing day
Oxford High School seniors Kam Mueller (sitting left) and Tim Shafto (sitting right) signed National Letters of Intent Monday to play college sports. Mueller will play football for Hillsdale College in Hillsdale while Shafto will play baseball for Concordia University in Ann Arbor. Mueller received a full scholarship to Hillsdale where he will study to become an athletic trainer/physical therapist. Shafto received a 50 percent scholarship (30 percent athletics, 20 percent academics) to Concordia where he will study either business administration or criminal justice.
