Goodrich — The Goodrich Martians Boys Basketball team improved to 13-5 overall and 9-1 in the Flint Metro League with a 64-34 win on Feb. 6 over the Corunna Cavaliers (7-9 overall & 5-6 in the league.)
“This team is really starting to come together this season,” said Head Coach Gary Barns. “Consider too that we are a very young team with only three seniors.”
GHS Jr., #1 Parker LePla 18 points, eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and three blocks; GHS Fr., #3 Jensen LePla, 16 points, one rebound and three assists and GHS Sr. #0 Luke Francis eight points, two rebounds and two assists. GHS Fr. #32 Drew Aagesen eight points and one rebound and GHS Jr. #5 Landon Williams.
“The tough season schedule will be a benefit down the stretch ,” said Barns. “We have to prepare for every game like it’s our last. We’re at Brandon where it will be a battle, then Lake Fenton who handed us our only league loss this season. It’s one game at a time.”
