Saginaw — On April 4-6, Goodrich FIRST Robotics teams #494 the Martians and #70 More Martians competed in the Michigan State Championship at Saginaw Valley State University.
A total of 160 teams from around Michigan qualified for this tournament, to competed for the title of Michigan State Champion.
Team 70 finished as the four seed and were the third alliance captains on the Hemlock Semiconductor field. Team 494 finished as the eleventh seed on the Consumers Energy Field and were the seven alliance captains.
Both teams earned enough points to qualify for the FIRST World Championship to be held April 17-20 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.
