Brandon Twp.— On April 11, Brandon High School hosted College Signing Day for Brandon student-athletes. From the Blackhawk Class of 2024, a total of 15 students were recognized who will move on to study and participate in collegiate sports.
“Our signing day event was to honor and celebrate the hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence by our Brandon student-athletes and their families,” said Jesse Johnson, Brandon Athletic director.
“I believe that this is something that should be acknowledged, celebrated and admired by the school system, community and the friends and families of these student-athletes,” he said. “No one truly understands, unless you have lived it, the sacrifices it takes by these student-athletes and their families to get them to this point.”
On average, 7% of High School athletes go on to play at the collegiate level.
“Brandon is going to continue to push our athletes to be the best they can be and encourage them to always chase their dreams.”
