Goodrich— On Sept. 18, the Brandon Boys Varsity Soccer team defeated Goodrich 2-0 to claim the County Line Cup. The tradition of the Brandon vs Goodrich trophy goes all the way back to 2010.
“The boys wanted the Cup back badly, as nobody on the team had won it before,” said Head Coach Shawn Lovelace, who could not attend the game due to a death in the family.
“They played a tough Goodrich side, but Brandon was better on the night. Nolan Wood had both goals in the 2-0 win. Assists by Connor Teaney and Colin McKinney. Nothing could have made Sept 18 a good day, but the boys winning the CLC made it a little better. They make me proud.”
