Grab your girlfriends, mothers, grandmothers and daughters for Clarkston Elementary’s third annual Ladies Night Out this Thursday, 6-9 p.m.
The relaxed environment is the perfect spot to shop for the holidays or yourself, indulge in pampering, and enjoying food from Union Woodshop.
Over 40 vendors will be at this year’s event, which is Clarkston Elementary PTO’s fundraiser for the year.
Vendors feature gift ideas including clothing, body care, health and fitness and jewelry.
“Not only are we bringing in crafters, artists, photographers and food,” said Jen Herrmann, Clarkston Elemenray PTO president. “We also want to showcase local businesses. We are all moms of children and are big believers of shopping local. Our local businesses are the backbone of our economy.”
Plus, shopping at Ladies Night Out features unique gifts for everyone on the holiday shopping list.
Some of the local businesses at the event are VIP Fitness, Great Turtle Toys, Terri King Salon, Clarkston Farmer’s Market, A Space 2 Dream, Lisa’s Confection Connection, Clarkston Hot Yoga and Mystique Boutique.
About half of the vendors are new to the event including Tape Your Life, products made with duct tape by a local student.
It is also an opportunity to enjoy a pulled pork slider from Union Woodshop and coffee from Essence on Main, both located in downtown Clarkston.
The entry fee is $2 and includes one free raffle ticket. More tickets are available for purchase and can be used to win one of the many baskets donated from the vendors.
Clarkston Elementary will also be selling their cookbooks featuring recipes from staff members and families.
The event was created as a fundraiser for the school and November seemed like the perfect time – for holiday shopping and in time for Hunter’s Widow’s Week.
“It is a fun fundraiser for Clarkston Elementary,” said Herrmann.
“It is a community event. Local businesses need as much support as any other organization. Come sample local cuisine while supporting the PTO and local businesses and artists.”
