Clarkston Board of Education’s gave school administration an assignment: write a budget, saving $2 million with 10 percent surplus, all without cutting too much.
‘No one wants drastic cuts,? said Superintendent Dr. Al Roberts at Monday’s board meeting.
Board Treasurer Ronald Sullivan requested three budget proposals based on best-, middle-of-the-road, and worst-case state funding scenarios.
Roberts, school principals, and other officials on the school administration team will work on the budget this week for consideration by the school board in early March.
