Chiara Allen placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdles event at last weekend’s Division 1 state finals, held at Rockford High School.
Allen was the only finalist for Lake Orion, which sent hurdler Niklas Rippon, sprinter Alexandria Johnson (two events), distance runner Allie Hock and two girls? relay teams to the finals.
Both the 4X100 relay team (Allen, Cara Booker, Lisa Galasso and Johnson, ) and the 4X200 relay team (Allen, Johnson, Cortney Kimmel and Christine Norton) set school records during the season.
