On Jan. 2, the township board adopted a text amendment to Ordinance 78, a zoning ordinance pertaining to Planned Unit Developments (commonly referred to as PUDs).
The amendment will require applicants to provide additional information pertaining to architectural quality, including sections, building materials, building details, screening of roof-mounted mechanical equipment, material sample boards and more.
The board’s Planning Commission representative, John Steimel, said the amendment’s adoption will make it easier for the commission to see exactly what an applicant is proposing.
