Aneurysm suspected by police in township child’s death

Brandon Twp.- A 6-year-old boy, who had recently immigrated to the township from Thailand, likely died from a brain aneurysm April 23.
According to police reports, deputies responded to a home in the 1500 block of Connell to assist fire department medics at about 4:56 p.m., April 23. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was in progress on the child, Adithep Jumpaeng, who grabbed his head in severe pain just prior to collapsing. There were no signs of foul play.
The boy, who immigrated to the United States about six weeks ago and was not enrolled in Brandon Schools, was transported to Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, where he was pronounced deceased at 6 p.m.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Pete Burkett said an autopsy on the child was inconclusive and more testing is being done, however, he suspects a brain aneurysm as the cause of death.
