One is a new sign with the familiar Ford logo, and the M-15 dealership has lighted letters in front and a new sign for the service department. Additional parking is now available, and there are similar improvements in the product line.
‘Facelifts? of the F150 truck and the Mustang will coincide with Ford’s 100th anniversary in June. Arrants Ford hopes to have some special events of their own to coincide with the international celebration.
While there are improvements, Arrants Ford is still working to maintain a family tradition of ‘keeping people happy.?
‘That’s important to me,? said Mark Aznavorian. ‘We’re doing things to make service better. All the employees here feel the same way I do about serving people.?
The business was founded in 1959 by Jimmy Arrants. In 1975, Al Aznavorian bought half-interest in the dealership, then took over in 1992 after Arrants? death. Almost two years ago, Al Aznavorian died and son Mark has taken over the business.
Mark Aznavorian admits there are some in the business who have not represented the industry well. ‘I hear a lot of stories about how other service departments treat people poorly.? He doesn’t like ‘fine print? and promises, ‘When you get a price here, that’s the price; there are no hidden costs.?
Part of the reason for customer satisfaction (Aznavorian estimates that 90 percent of Arrants customers are repeat visitors) is a staff of employees who have been with the company for years and really know their stuff.
Arrants Ford already has a complete parts and service department, and there are now extended hours for customers? convenience.
There’s a renewed interest in helping folks who don’t necessarily want a new vehicle.
‘We really want to expand our used car sales,? he said.
Aznavorian said it matters not whether its new or used car sales; the customer must be satisfied. They pride themselves on honest, no-pressure sales techniques and excellent service after the sale.
‘Being in a smaller town like Ortonville, it’s afforded us the opportunity to feel closer to our fellow businesses and its residents,? he said. ‘Also, since bad news travels fast, it has helped us strive to be better than our competition. If you don’t do it in the customer’s interest, it’s going to come back to you.?
