Brandon Twp. – The Brandon Fire department responded to a 9-1-1 call at 5:30 a.m. Feb. 3, for what turned out to be a smoldering garage on Granger Road.
When firefighters arrived there was heavy smoke coming from the building; they were able to control the fire within 25 minutes.
Brandon Fire Chief Bob McArthur said there were two vehicles in the garage that sustained minor damage.
McArthur estimated the loss of contents due to smoke was $50,000.
Arson investigators were called to the scene after four points of fire origin were discovered. However McArthur says there are no leads that point to a suspect at this time and no footprints were able to be determined at this time.
