While the dragon ice sculpture gleamed, spirits were high at the Orion Art Centers gala fundraiser last month at Addison Oaks ballroom. Longtime art center supporter Sandy Mabery served as honorary chairperson. Deena Centifonti of Fox2Detroit talked about community spirit and the exciting dragon boat races coming to the Dragon on the Lake Summer Festival this August (visit www.dragononthelake.com for more info).
Clarkston artist Mike Hendrix was chosen as Artist of the Year and Sue Willick was honored as the 2011 Patron of the Arts.
