The Orion Art Center will host a wine tasting on Saturday, Sep. 8 at the home of Jim and Lisa Cummins at 220 South Andrews St. in downtown Lake Orion (see inset).
The wine tasting will commence at 4 p.m. and last until 6 p.m. A historic boat tour will follow at 7 p.m., and will offer some history of Lake Orion.
‘Our home and its surroundings have a lot of Orion history, so we are happy to help the art center and share our lakefront home at the same time,? said Cummins.
The event is a fundraiser for the art center. Proceeds will match a community service grant provided by the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs.
Tickets for the wine tasting are $35 per person, with an additional charge of $15 for the boat tour.
Wine will be provided by Grape Events at Bommarito’s Bakery & Wine of St. Clair Shores. Light fare for the event will be provided by Victoria’s Delights Bistro of Oxford.
