Dear Editor:
I recently donated my old car to our voluntary Atlas Township Fire Department for training purposes.
I was invited to the execution of this exercise. I must say I was very excited and impressed.
It’s time we all give a lot more respect to the men and women who volunteer their time for our community for us. When we need help, who comes 24-7?
Did you know the jaws of life weigh 80 pounds? Not to mention fighting with that fire hose. Not all of us can do that. I know I can’t.
The Atlas Township Fire Department is a great asset to our community.
