The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of a man selling audio equipment out of the back of a vehicle in the area of Lapeer and Greenshield Roads on Aug. 26.
According to an OCSD report, the 22-year-old Clarkston man said he sold audio equipment for Dream Audio Works, and had extra so he was trying to sell it.
The man was asked if he had a permit to solicit, and he showed the OCSD a permit from the Village of Lake Orion. He did not have a permit from Orion Township.
The man was cited for soliciting without a permit, and was advised to stop selling the equipment in the township until he got one.
