Members of the Sons of the American Legion and the Women’s Auxiliary believe every school classroom should have an American flag. They recently donated 84 flags to the Lake Orion School District. David Mennel, representing the 18th District Assn. made a presentation during the June 8 school board meeting. Three students at the school, Kaitlyn, Jeremy and Alex Bergeron, received a flag from their grandparents Fred and Anita. It had flown over the Pentagon in Washington DC. The grandparents had requested the flag be given to the school.
