The fifth annual Beets, Beats, & Eats Art Contest will take place June 17. Artists can register entries of original 2-dimensional art including drawings, paintings, and mixed media from June 7 through 3 p.m., June 17 at Art of Life, 391 Mill St. Ortonville. Entry is free for contestants 17 and under, $10 for ages 18 and over.
Art will be judged in four age groups: 5-8, 9-11, 12-17, and 18 and over. Limit one entry per artist; no art larger than 18×24 inches; 18 and older entries must be framed; and under the age of 18, entries matted and framed are encouraged– mount to sturdy paper backing.
First place overall receives $25, second place, $15, and third place, $10. First, second, and third place in each age group receives a ribbon and gift certificate from Art of Life. Details: Portia Mahoney, 248-627-4901.
