“We take the dump to you,” Cummings says. “In the old days, you had to haul all that stuff away yourself.”
Best Rate Dumpster Rental is a family-owned and run business, and Cummings has been in business for eight years.
He was a Lake Orion resident when he started Best Rate on Joslyn Road just south of Brown Road, and now lives in Ortonville.
“This is something I wanted to do,” he says of the business. “We work with a lot of builders, contractors and homeowners.”
Best Rate has from 10- to 40-yard dumpsters, with 200 available.
“We serve mostly Northern Oakland County, but we will go just about anywhere in the Metro Detroit area,” Cummings says.
Dumpsters can be rented for 1-2 weeks at a time, and Best Rate lives up to its name where prices are concerned.
Best Rate also does demolition work.
“Our name says it all,” Cummings says. “We have really competitive rates.”

“Customers can call and arrange to have a dumpster delivered over the phone,” he says. “We accept all major credit cards.”

“All rubbish is disposed of in a licensed land fill, and we are environmentally-friendly,” he says.
