Fenton — Brandon Blackhawk Varsity Wrestler Sr. Nicklas Montreuil 144 pounds finished third in the Michigan High School Athletic Association Districts at Fenton on Feb. 8. Montreuil 37-12 in the 2024-25 season qualified for the individual regionals on Feb. 15.
Blackhawk Head Coach Kent Bailo said Montreuil was a hard working wrestler.
“Nick told me, ‘I’m not strong, not quick, but I have a big motor and I just keep going,” he said. “No doubt, great work ethic.”
For the Goodrich Martians Jonathan Golec, 175 pounds, first place;  Jack Mahon, 190 pounds, first place; James Mahon 215 pounds, second place; Jonathan Davis, 126 pounds, first place; Ethen Garza, 138, first place; and Jaden Davis, 150 pounds first also qualified for the regionals.
