Borst recognized

Assistant Brandon Fire Chief David Borst was recognized last month for 30 years of service to the Brandon Fire Department.
Borst, 56, an Oxford native and 1966 graduate of Oxford High School attended Concordia Lutheran Junior College. From 1969-72 he served in the Army at the Yuma Proving Grounds in Arizona. In 1972 Borst moved back to Brandon Township and in May 1973 joined the Brandon Fire Department as a part-time firefighter. In January 1975 he became a full-time firefighter and in July 1997 he was promoted to Assistant Fire Chief.
Borst and his wife of 35 years Kerry, have three children, Sara, Nick and Beth. They also have six grandchildren.
