Lake Orion’s girls? varsity bowling team will compete in the state championships next weekend in Sterling Heights.?
The Lady Dragons qualified by finishing third among 16 teams at this weekend’s MHSAA Regional Tournament at the 300 Bowl in Waterford. ?
Earlier this year, they scored impressive wins in the Early Bird Tournament, Cougar Classic Tournament, Hochstein Memorial Tournament, The Oakland County Tournament, and the Tri-County Tournament, featuring the best high school bowlers in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb Counties; and a shared OAA league championship. .
The team’s roster includes:? Senior and Team Captain Tryna Gladstone; juniors Lexi Babicz, Madeline Marcetti, Hannah Mix, and Savanna Rolle, freshmen: Alex Boyer , Jessica Cannon and Madison Ellington.
Tryna Gladstone also qualified 2nd for the State Individual Tournament by rolling consecutive scores of 209, 188, 211, 236, 238, and 184 for a total of 1,266.
