Brandon Twp. — On Jan. 13 the Goodrich Martians Boys Varsity Basketball team remained perfect on the 22-23 season with a 48-40 win over their rival Brandon Blackhawks.
Goodrich led 17-16 at halftime then pulled away for the win.
“We played hard against Goodrich but we missed a lot of shots,” said Blackhawk Head Coach Michael Stewart. “We are still plugging away and trying to get better every day.”
BHS Drew Hickmott scored 11, Joey Norris, and Zack Parks both had 10 Wes Atkinson had nine rebounds.
GHS Jack Locey had 19 poins, Gavin Hart 10 and Caeden Rossell 8 points.
The Martians defeated Swartz Creek on the road 51-43 to improve to 11-0 in the 22-23 season.
