Brandon Twp.- An art-filled evening is planned for this year’s major library fundraiser? an art auction set for 6 p.m., Oct. 20 at the library, 304 South St.
‘We chose an art auction because we thought it would be different and fun,? said Zoe Pearson, public relations director for the library.
‘There is no obligation and no pressure to buy anything. It’s fine to just be there and experience the fun and know that you are supporting one of Brandon Township’s most treasured institutions.?
Tickets are $10 and attendees will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, dessert, red and white wines donated by Tom Fischer, and a live auctioneer. The auction is presented by Marlin Art, an auction house based in New York that has been in business for nearly 40 years.
A one-hour art preview begins at 6 p.m., at which time a silent auction will also take place with art donated from local artists. Live auction bidding begins at 7 p.m.
Register anytime by phone, online, in person or at the door the night of the auction. Details: (248) 627-1460 or www.brandonlibrary.org
