The Charter Township of Brandon Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing May 25, 2005 at 7:30 P.M. at Brandon Township Offices, 395 Mill Street, Ortonville, Michigan 48462.

Request: Applicant requests to reduce right-of-way requirements for private road system servicing proposed site con- dominium. Requirements for right-of-way is 60 feet to be reduced to 50 feet.

Request: Applicant requests a variance from private road improvement requirements to permit a single improved driveway 20 feet in width to service two single-family home sites.

Request: Applicant requests the following variances:
(1) To reconstruct a ground sign 14 feet in height removed as result of realignment of East and West Glass Roads.
(2) A variance of 30 feet for the front yard set back as a result of the taking of property for the East/Glass Road realignment.
(3) A variance of 14 parking spaces as a result of the tak- ing of property for the East/Glass Road realignment.
(4) A variance of 4 feet for the required greenbelt as a re- sult of the taking of property for the East/Glass Road realignment.

On March 21, 2005 the Brandon Township Board of Trustees shall hold a public hearing and first reading of an ordinance designating Brandon Township as the enforcing agency for the Michigan Building and Michigan Residential codes.
This meeting shall be held at the Brandon Township offices and will begin at 7:30 p.m. Below is a complete copy of the proposed ordinance.

ORDINANCE DESIGNATING ENFORCING AGENCY UNDER 1972 PA 230
BRANDON TOWNSHIP, MICHIGAN
ORDINANCE NO.___, EFFECTIVE___, 2005
CONSTRUCTION CODE ORDINANCE
PREAMBLE
An ordinance to designate the enforcing agency to discharge the responsibility of the Charter Township of Brandon, Oakland County, Michigan. Pursuant to the authority granted, the Charter Township of Brandon ordains:
ARTICLE I
AGENCY DESIGNATED
?1 Pursuant to the provisions of the Michigan Building Code, residential code, building code, mechanical code, plumbing code, electrical code, and the energy code in accordance with Section 8b(6) of 1972 PA 230, as amended, the Director of Building and Planning of the Charter Township of Brandon is hereby designated as the enforcing agency to discharge the responsibility of the Charter Township of Brandon under 1972 P.A. 230 as amended. The Charter Township of Brandon assumes responsibility for the administration and enforcement of said Act throughout its corporate limits.
ARTICLE II
CONFLICTING ORDINANCES REPEALED
?4.1 All ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
ARTICLE III
EFFECTIVE DATE
?6.1 The Michigan Building Code, residential code, building code, mechanical code, plumbing code, electrical code, and the energy code will be in effect within the Charter Township of Brandon pursuant to the provisions of this ordinance 30 days after the first publication of this ordinance.
