North American Salt Company will continue to provide salt to the Village of Lake Orion this winter. The company, located in Kansas, was low bidder out of four that responded to the village’s request for bids.
Cost to the village will be $34.89 per ton delivered. Last year North American Salt charged $34.50 per ton. Five hundred tons were purchased.
In 2001/2002, the village bought 250 tons of road salt from Bedrock Express at $40 per ton.
