The Varsity Ladies Basketball team lost to the Brandon Martians 47-31 on Sept. 30.
The team struggled throughout the night with Brandon holding a consistent lead. The Wildcats trailed at the end of the first 13-16, and were outscored in the second for 18-24 at the half.
The Martians out shot Oxford in the third by more than two to one, claiming a significant lead that lasted the game.
Trying to pull for the Lady Cats was Megan Stumph with 15 points, including three 3-pointers, and 12 rebounds.
“She did have a good game,” said Coach Becky Graves.
Other scorers for Oxford included Denise Spratley with six points and Ally Zonsius with five.
The Oxford girls basketball team is now preparing to hit the court against Holly tomorrow (Thursday).
