The Lake Orion girls varsity basketball team finished off their regular season schedule with a 57-30 defeat at the hands of Bloomfield Hills Lahser on Nov. 9.
Rachel LaRocca led the Dragons with nine points, while Chelsea Richards had seven. Rachel Traurig had five points for the team.
Lake Orion finishes the regular season with a record of 4-16 in OAA II.
Basketball district competition began at Lake Orion High School on Nov. 15, when the Dragons faced off against Pontiac Northern in the first round.
Northern took the game 59-36, to go on to face Pontiac Central in the District 29 semi-final game on Nov. 17.
Against Northern, Lake Orion’s Blaire James led the team with 10 points. LaRocca followed with eight, while Margaret Verespie scored seven for the team.
Cara Slosson had four points in the game for the Dragons, while Traurig had three. Richards and Kristen Larsen each had two points.
