Car show to kick off ‘Cruise Week?

For those who love classic cars, get ready for the Clarkston United Methodist’s second classic car show on Aug. 13 8-11 a.m.
Organizer Arsey Miller hopes to make the event an annual staple in the church’s event calendar.
‘It was a really nice event last year,? said Miller, who estimated around 30 cars attended last year.
Miller will set up the show bright and early, and hopes the church’s congregation will get to see the show while they are there at the church.
‘It’s a really nice combination (of cars),? Miller said, ‘because there are cars that are driven every day as well as collectors? cars on display.? He added this show is not like others in which owners are reserved with their cars.
‘Most people are pretty open about people getting in and checking the cars out,? Miller said.
For future events, Miller said he would like to combine forces with other area churches to make a larger show.
Clarkston United Methodist is located at 6600 Waldon Road. For more information call Miller at 248-612-0213.
