Less will get you more this year as the Greater Ortonville Area Chamber of Commerce hosts the seventh annual Business Expo 2008.
‘Times are tough out there for any business right now,? said Lisa Dwyer, Expo chairperson. ‘The pricing for the Expo has been lowered from the 2007 Expo and we are going to be open for an extra hour. The chamber is ready to make this event a rewarding opportunity for businesses and the public that attends.?
The Business Expo will be in the new Brandon High School cafeteria, plenty of room for the more than 50 vendors that are expected this year, said Dwyer.
Businesses should reserve a table by Oct. 22 in order to receive the special early bird registration fee. The cost for a table is $100 through Oct. 22 for chamber members or $200 for non-chamber members. Advertising for the Expo is available from The Citizen’with a circulation of more than 11,000 in Atlas, Brandon and Groveland townships. Contact Jackie Nowicki at 248-627-4332 by Oct. 31 to guarantee an advertisement in the Business Expo booklet.
‘Vendors can expect about 700 people to attend the Expo this year,? added Dwyer. ‘We are looking for more vendors to participate in the Expo. Right now we have about 50 booths available, but they are going fast.?
Proceeds from the Expo will fund five-$500 scholarships for area Brandon High School students.
Visitors can register for door prizes and new this year will be a scavenger hunt sponsored by GateWay Mortgage group. Several restaurants provide free samples and other businesses may also offer free gifts.
The Chamber Business Expo will be open to the public from 5-8 p.m., Nov. 12, at the Brandon High School cafeteria. Details: 248-627-8079.
