Citizens Bank thanks local community

On Friday June 29 Citizens Bank held an open house gala at the branch in Springfield Township off of Dixie Hwy to say thank you to the local residents and businesses for three years of support.
‘This is the least we can do to show our appreciation for the tremendous support by the businesses and residents of northern Oakland County,? said Gregory Mink, vice president and branch manager for Citizens Bank. ‘Citizens Bank is dedicated to serving this area and plans to be here for years to come.?
Festivities included chances to win $100 gas cards, gift certificates to area merchants, a clown, face painting, refreshments, ice cream and popcorn.
‘The kids really enjoyed the clown (Bubbles),? said Jill Vidlund. ‘She was a big hit.?
There was also a piggy bank in which kids try to guess how much money was inside.
Mink said the best part was watching the kid’s guess and the different dollar amounts they came up with.
Also opening new accounts and making new clients was a success. According to Mink they had easily 125-200 people show up for the event.
‘It’s a beautiful day we could not have asked for a better turnout,? he said.
Car Company Saturn also brought out their new car line including the new ‘Sky Turbo.? They were offering free test drives. ‘House of Trailers? also showed up; one of the public will win one of their trailers. Both companies are clients of the bank.
The day was a great success for Citizens Bank.
‘It was great all the way around, kids, clown, ice cream, customers and clients really enjoyed it,? said coordinator of the event Cathe Williams.
‘Seeing everyone happy and smiling is the best part.?
