City council to consider new budget

A public hearing on the proposed 2007-2008 budget for the City of the Village of Clarkston is scheduled for 7 p.m. June 11 at the City Offices, 375 Depot Road.
Copies of the budget are available at the same location.
‘The big issue is that over the last four years revenues are down $119,000 while disbursements are only down $88,000,? said City Councilman Cory Johnston at the council’s regular meeting May 28. ‘We need to start looking at alternatives’there’s nothing left to cut.?
The city’s 2007-2008 revenues total $776,532, with proposed disbursements of $759,346.
Johnston, along with Mayor Sharron Catallo and Councilman Dan Colombo comprise this year’s finance committee.
