Clarkston Bank branch sports a new look

Clarkston State Bank’s Waterford branch is getting ready to unveil a year’s worth of renovations.
The bank decided to renovate because the design was dated and unattractive, said Linda Rice, director of marketing.
The branch, located on Highland Road in Waterford, will have a grand re-opening in May.
The renovation makes it into a state-of-the-art banking facility, Rice said.
Exterior and interior were re-vamped to look more modern. The exterior now features a two-level, floor-to-ceiling contemporary glass window design.
‘It’s more architecturally appealing,? Rice said.
The interior was renovated with cherry wood staircases at both entrances.
Once renovations are complete, the bank will feature historical pictures of Waterford in the conference room and lobby. Pictures will come from David Savage of Savage Photography & Design. In addition, the bank had work by Plum Hollow Home D’cor & Design Studio. The company decorated a corner vignette of furniture.
‘The feel of the new design is much more fresh and welcoming to the public,? she said.
Along with a more appealing design, the renovation allows for new services. They include: two drive-up service lanes, conference room for events and meetings, easy access to Highland Road, and front and rear parking. Rice said the expansion of services is ideal for the growing community.
