Clean up day

Brandon Township Ron Lapp speaks with Dennis Masters of Brandon Township on Saturday April 26, at the Brandon High School parking lot during one of two Brandon Township spring clean up weekends. Residents could bring in any just about any item including old cars, lawn moweres, and boats. Hazerdous materials were not accepted. Averill Refuse and Recylcing, of Flint supplied Dumpsters and trucks to gather the material. During the two cleanup weekends about 4,000 cubic yards of materials are collected. The project cost taxpayers about $45,000.
