Old Mill Coffee House
The Grist Mill Coffee House Cafe is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at the Old Mill, 355 Mill St. Come join the fun and enjoy hot coffee, hot tea, muffins and Danish. Hot chocolate will be served as the weather grows colder. Tours of the Old Mill are available.
Town Hall Quilt Guild

Line Dance Classes

‘The Reptile Man?
A free children’s program featuring live reptiles will be presented by Mike Brophy, ‘The Reptile Man,? at 7 p.m., Nov. 14 at the Brandon Township Public Library, 304 South St. Mike will discuss the origins, characteristics and habits of these creatures. Poinsettias and more sale
The Goodrich Children’s Center will take orders for poinsettias, wreaths and cedar garland through Nov. 14 as their yearly fundraiser. Poinsettias are available in red, white or pink and are $10.50 for small plants and $13.50 for large. Wreaths with a red velveteen bow are available in 22-inch or 36-inch sizes and cost $12 and $21 respectively. Cedar-bough garlands are 50-feet long and sell for $25. Holiday Shopping Bazaar
A Holiday Shopping Bazaar featuring multiple vendors and crafters will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 19, at the Old Town Hall, 486 Mill St. in Ortonville. Comedy Night
The Goodrich High School Class of 2007 will have a ‘Comedy Night? fundraiser at 7 p.m., Nov. 20, at Pesto’s Restaurant & Comedy Club, 11225 Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Tickets are $15. Adults only. Christmas Wreath Sale
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is taking orders through Nov. 21 for fresh 22-inch Balsam wreaths with sprigs of Cedar and White Pine with three snow-sprayed pine cones and a red velvet bow. The locally made wreaths are $17 each, pre-paid. Wreaths can be picked up from 9-11 a.m. Nov. 26. Food for Fines Amnesty Program
The Brandon Township Public Library will forgive overdue fines on all books returned to the library from Dec. 1-30 when patrons donate non-perishable items to the Ortonville Community Emergency Fund. Food contributions must be non-expired and non-perishable. Personal hygiene products and paper products will also be accepted. The library is located at 304 South St. Details: (248) 627-1471.
Holiday Book Sales
The Friends of Brandon Library will host a used book sale from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Dec. 3 and again on Dec. 17 (during the same time frame), in the Friend’s Alcove at the library, 304 South St. The sales feature gently used books, videos and audio tapes.
