The Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce is ready to kick up the fun a notch in Clarkston with the 26th season of the Concerts in the Park series.
These free concerts take place during June and July from 7-9 p.m. right in downtown Clarkston at Depot Park.
This summer’s schedule includes:
? June 17 ? Rich Eddy’s Rockin? Oldies Band
? June 24 ? Blackthorn (Irish music and comedy)
? July 1 ? Fragment (Bluegrass, Folk, Country Music and More)
? July 8 ? elmoTHUMM (a cappella)
? July 15 ? The Stardust Swing Band (Music of the 30’s and 40’s)
? July 22 ? Kevin Tee and the Firebirds (Music of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s)
Also, back by popular demand, is the Local Talent Spotlight from 6:30 – 6:55 p.m. A great lineup of Clarkston talent awaits concert goers this season.
On June 24, the series will host ‘Clarkston Idol? with concert goers being given the opportunity to perform Karaoke-style to their favorite songs.
New this year are two theme nights:
July 15 is Senior Appreciation Night with added surprises and giveaways for all senior citizens 65 years and older attending the concert.
July 22 is 50’s Night in the Park. Concert goers are encouraged to drive their classic cars to the event, dress for the costume contest and enter the dance-off.
Of course all concert goers can look forward to balloon giveaways, face painting, mouth-watering concession items and a Cook’s Dairy ice cream stand.
