Brandon Twp. — On Sept. 8, the Corunna Cavaliers Varsity Football team defeated the Brandon Blackhawks 44-7 in a Flint Metro League match up.
BHS Junior #9 Lance Briolat completed 11 of 19 attempts in the air for 169 yards and one touchdown. BHS Senior #20 Drew Hickmott had three completions for 50 yards, while BHS Senior Brody Berchiolly had four catches for 67 yards. On defense, BHS Senior #33 Jake Difalco led the team with nine tackles.
“Corunna has a great team and should make a nice run this season,” said Blackhawk Head Coach Brad Zube. “This wasn’t our best performance, we are young and trying to get guys in the right place, but we’re staying positive and learning from our growing pains.”
