The village has approved a trio of recommendations from the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee.
At the November 13 meeting, the council authorized construction of two ice skating rinks at Atwater Park, a volleyball court at Green’s Park, and shuffleboard courts at Green’s Park.
The ice rinks will include one to be used by families, and the other for hockey.
The council agreed that all ice rink paraphernalia will be collected at the first thaw, to avoid damage to the grass.
In a related matter, the council approved the appointment of Andrew Miller to the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee. There are still two vacancies on the committee.
