On Aug. 3, a Brandon deputy responded to the 400 block of E. Glass Road for a trespassing complaint. The complainant said his ex-girlfriend was pounding on the front door and scaring his kids. The woman left prior to the deputy’s arrival and the complainant said deputies responded to his home earlier in the week when he told her to stay off his property. The complainant said deputies had responded to his ex-wife’s home as well, since his ex-girlfriend was causing problems there. He said he and his ex-girlfriend dated four to five months and lived together 29 days, then broke up, he moved out and she’s caused problems ever since. The suspect was issued a citation for trespass.
BMW keyed up and saw the other man approaching him with a fist. The complainant said he punched the suspect in the face, causing him to fall to the ground. The complainant then left and called for a ride to POH. The suspect was two rooms down from the complainant in the emergency room. The deputy observed that the complainant’s face was swollen and red and he had a 1 1/2 inch laceration on the top of his right hand from punching the suspect. The complainant said the suspect hit him because he was walking with his ex-girlfriend. The suspect, who had two chipped front top teeth and a lacerated top lip, denied being in a fight. He said he rolled out of bed and hit his mouth on an end table. The suspect was cited for assault and battery.
Rocked
On Aug. 8, a Brandon deputy responded to the 3600 block of Pinoak. The complainant said he saw two juvenile boys throw rocks at his home. He said this has been going on for several days and one boy lives within sight of his home. The man said a week ago, the windshield of his Dodge Dakota truck was broken overnight. He wasn’t sure if the incidents were related. The deputy observed six dents in the aluminum siding of the mobile home and several rocks about two to three inches in diameter were found on the ground. The deputy went to the suspect’s home and learned he wasn’t there. When the deputy returned later that evening, the boy’s mother said she, her son, and his friend had spoken with the complainant and worked it out. The deputy confirmed this was the case with the complainant.
No spare change
On Aug. 8, a Brandon deputy took a report of malicious destruction of property at the Brandon substation. The complainant, a newspaper carrier, said an unknown person forced open the coin box on a newspaper box at a business in the 100 block of S. Ortonville Road.
Road hazard
On Aug. 9, at about 2:24 a.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 2200 block of Ironwood to check on the welfare of a person laying in the road. The deputy found the man partially on the road, with his feet in the driver’s side of a vehicle with the door open. He appeared highly intoxicated. Another apparently intoxicated individual was in the passenger seat. The deputy assisted the man who was laying down in the road to his feet. The man said he was at a party and had a couple beers. A preliminary breathalyzer test showed he had a blood alcohol content of .137 percent. The passenger had a blood alcohol content of .067. The passenger was released to his mother. The other man was cited for disorderly person and minor in possession.
Mad dad
On Aug. 9, a Brandon deputy responded to the 3600 block of Pinoak. The complainant said his daughter received a phone call from the suspect, who wanted her to pick him up so he could turn himself in on outstanding warrants. He also wanted her to bring him money. The daughter handed the phone to her father, who told the suspect he couldn’t be trusted and he wouldn’t let his daughter go to him. The suspect then said, ‘Fine, I’ll burn your house down and move back to Washington state,? and hung up. The suspect has a felony warrant for failure to appear at a sentencing for operating while intoxicated, third offense. The report was given to the Fugitive Apprehension Team.
Violent drunk
On Aug. 10, at 1 a.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 1500 block of Wildwood Loop for a domestic violence complaint. The complainant said her husband arrived home drunk. He woke her up and began yelling at her. He cornered her in the bedroom and grabbed her hair while punching the wall behind her. She told him she was leaving and he went outside and threw a metal chair through her car windshield, then came back in and slapped her. He took her cell phone and threw it, damaging it and preventing her from calling 9-1-1. He then grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened to kill himself. The complainant’s two sons were witnesses and confirmed the assault on their mother. The suspect admitted to a verbal argument. He was arrested for domestic violence without incident and lodged at the Oakland County Jail. He was issued a citation under the local domestic violence ordinance.
On Aug. 5, a Brandon deputy responded to the 1900 block of S. Ortonville Road for a malicious destruction of property report. The complainant said between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., someone keyed his 2002 BMW.
Hydroxal hefted
On Aug. 5, a Brandon deputy took a report at the substation. The complainant said on July 9, his company dropped off a hydroxal machine at a jobsite in the 1100 block of Briar Ridge. The company wasn’t chosen for the job and the complainant returned on July 20 to pick up the equipment, valued at $3,890, and found it had been stolen.
Bikeless in Brandon
On Aug. 5, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4400 block of Butternut for larceny of a bicycle. The complainant said someone broke into his locked shed and stole his son’s 20-inch Haro 1-speed racing bike.
Broken
On Aug. 5, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4200 block of Dogwood for malicious destruction of property. The complainant said his windows were broken out of his vehicle. He said he arrived at the Clarkston Lakes Clubhouse and dropped off his vehicle. Before he left in another vehicle with his friends, he saw two boys, approximately 12-years-old, walk past his vehicle and ask a profane question. The complainant and his friends didn’t respond and when they returned 15 minutes later, they found the windshield on his vehicle broken, as well as the front and rear driver’s side windows. There was a long scratch on the fender and his registration was missing. There were also five imprints on the windshield consistent with the end of a baseball bat and blood drops on the windshield, hood and driver’s side door. The deputy made contact with the two kids and their mother. Both boys had no cuts or abrasions on their hands or arms and said they didn’t know anything about it.
Laptop lifted
On Aug. 7, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4100 block of Fir for a breaking and entering complaint. The complainant said someone entered his home and stole his HP Compaq laptop computer. Nothing else was missing. The home was locked when he left and locked when he returned. He suspects his son’s friend.
Bodi strikes again
On Aug. 7, a Brandon deputy and his K-9 partner, Bodi, assisted the Holly Police Department with a search warrant in the 300 block of S. Broad. Bodi located a pipe with some residue in a garage file cabinet, as well as a small plant behind the garage.
Boom
On Aug. 7, at 12:17 a.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 1000 block of Hummer Lake Road for a report of malicious destruction of property. The complainant said she was northbound on Ortonville Road north of Oakhill Road when she heard a loud boom. Afraid to stop, she continued to her boyfriend’s house, where she found her driver’s side rear window broken out.
Bedhead?
On Aug. 8, a Brandon deputy responded to the Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in Clarkston for an assault and battery report. The complainant said he was walking through the Clarkston Lakes Mobile Home park near Mulberry and Hawthorne around 10 p.m. with a female friend. He saw other friends standing near a mobile home and went to talk with them. After a few minutes, he was punched in the face by another man without warning. Dazed, the complainant looked
