Brandon’s hockey team pulled out a 3-1 win against Durand Dec. 4.
Durand struck first about 1-1/2 minutes in the game, when Cameron Beckner scored an unassisted goal.
From there, it was all Brandon, as the Blackhawks scored three second-period goals to take command of the game. Mike Cybulski scored on an assist from Mike Ross with 6:41 left in the second, then Ross scored on an assists from Cybulski with 3:37 left in the period.
Brandon Newman wrapped up the game’s scoring with 12 seconds left in the second, as Brandon Newman scored on an assist from Matt Cinader.
Jeff Hammond started in goal for the Blackhawks, stopping 18 shots, while Andy Myers stopped 23 shots in net for Durand.
