Roxana Chambers expected her students to do well when they competed in Las Vegas at the end of June, so their earning two high golds, 16 golds and five high silvers was not a big surprise.
The competition was not a first for Chambers, who has operated her dance studio in Springfield Township since 1992, but for some of her younger students the trip would be the first chance to showcase their talents to a national audience.
Dancers range from elementary students to high school seniors, but they all came to dance, whether in tap, ballet, jazz or even hip hop numbers
The competition spanned several days and featured individual and group performances.
