Deputies nab oil change burglary suspect

Oakland County Sheriff’s have caught the woman allegedly responsible for multiple breaking and enterings at Rzadko’s Penzoil 10 Minute Oil Change, located at 1285 S. Lapeer Rd., in Oxford Townshop.
Christina Marie Vlaz, 20, from Oxford, was arraigned Sunday on three counts of breaking and entering in front of Magistrate Clement Waldmann at the Rochester Hills 52-3 District Court. She allegedly broke into Rzadko’s on three separate occasions Oct. 14, Oct. 15 and Oct. 21. She was given a $5,000 personal bond for all three counts.
According to Oakland County Sheriff Sgt. Scott Patterson, Vlaz walked away with approximately $135 during the three break-ins. She allegedly stole $130 during the first incident, found a note a second time and took $3-$5 in loose change on her alleged third visit.
Vlaz was also arraigned on Monday, Nov. 7 in front of Magistrate Melinda Balian on retail fraud third warrant out of 52-3 District Court. She is currently housed in Oakland County Jail in lieu of posting 10 percent of a $10,000 bond. Vlaz is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing Dec. 5 before Judge Julie Nicholson.
Patterson said her boyfriend, Joseph Andrew Martin, 22, of Pontiac, was allegedly driving the getaway vehicle, but was not charged in the breaking and enterings.
Martin was arraigned on a probation violation from the Sixth Circuit Court in Pontiac from an earlier breaking and entering at the same Rzadko’s, which he and Vlaz allegedly perpetrated on or around Jan. 5, 2010.
Martin is being held in county jail in lieu of posting a $7,500 bond.
