Clarkston High School’s Detroit Voice is fund raising for its first CD through Kickstarter.com.
‘We hope the project will create excitement within our choral program and spur the recordings of other Clarkston choir groups,? says Choir Director Brian Haverkate.
The website helps the group raise funds to record and edit songs, and have them mixed, mastered, and licensed to sell as a CD.

Detroit Voice is a nine-person high school a cappella vocal group from Clarkston High School created as a celebration of Detroit-inspired music from throughout the decades.
Detroit Voice uses only the human voice to recreate the Detroit Motown sound with eight mixed voices and one vocal percussionist/beatboxer.
Members of Detroit Voice for 2012 include Sarah Milano, senior, soprano; Mason Van Gieson, sophomore, soprano; Adrianna Fay, senior, alto; Saaja Rayford, senior, alto; Manny Estrada, junior, tenor; Dakota Miller, senior, tenor; Conor Foley, senior, vocal percussion/baritone; Nathan Wilson, freshman, baritone; and Jameson Waterbury, senior, bass.
